love it when a one-pot recipe tells me to go to the store and get someone to do all the rest of the work for me, and then it turns out there's 30 more steps.
this is very impressive. seriously, three reactions in a row without needing to isolate intermediates is unusually easy for organic synthesis. but 4-piperidone is a scheduled substance for obvious reasons, what a pity ~Alyx
