This is one of my favorite "old" websites! It hasn't changed that much since 1996 and it's still serving its purpose for this ongoing project. You can imagine a shinier interface on it but also the website it has works and is really interesting to explore.
There's one degree confluence location, 43°N 76°W, that's really special to me, near where I grew up. I've been there (without a camera). My dad didn't know about the website but he did have a GPS and said "hey let's head off the trail over this way, there's something cool there".
It's a pretty easy degree confluence; it's been visited 8 times on DCP. There are "No Trespassing" signs there, but as Woody Guthrie says, on the other side they don't say nuthin'. The most recent visit attempt on DCP tried to head straight in from the nearest road, which is not how to do it.
I have a longer post I should write about the woods that contain this location and what makes them special.
