salmon run uses frame rate drops to its advantage so well its amazing
like, zhe only time you really get dropped frames is when shit is hitting zhe fan already, so it just adds to zhe stress and intensity
nozhing makes you realise you might be fucked more zhan when zheres too many fish for zhe game to handle
I swear the timer does not slow down when things are lagging so you end up with less time than you should have ,_,
I really do love that - it really adds something to the sense that everything is falling apart when the game itself starts to fall apart too. Frame drops making everything move slower makes everything feel like a struggle but it does give you just a little bit more time to react to things too. As a system, even though it's probably not intentional at all, I love it
