Kinda hate it when I find a character with a cool looking design and then learn that they're from a gacha game. Girl please I can't play that
Nothing hurts more than seeing a cool cowboy cyborg and thinking "Ooo, is this someone's OC?" before scrolling down and getting slapped in the face with a Honkai Star Rail hashtag. If you put that guy in a game that I could just pay a flat $60 for, I'd be down. But the presence of predatory gambling mechanics killed my interest immediately. Sorry 😔
I will say that Metal Gear Rising is 100% the reason as to why I think Boothill looks cool. I am not the Metal Gear expert in my friend group, but I have always loved that game's character design a lot. In a better timeline, he would be in a real game that is actually good.
