I will also say for now that while Cohost was imperfect (as all sites are), I definitely don't regret making an account here and chatting to people. One of the team's core ideas was "Nobody has gotten it quite right yet", and.. well... they're not wrong. I knew that there was a very real risk of this site going under. Sucks, but shit happens.
Cohost was unique to me because I felt like I could post about anything and everything that crossed my mind, including my yume stuff. Other Gundam fans were nice about it too, I didn't have to seek out any miserably caustic self ship-centric circles just to find some acceptance. I was cringe, AND I was free.
I've been thinking about making a personal page on Neocities for a while now, with links to all my ship info. Perhaps this was the kick in the ass I needed. In the meantime, I suppose I'll look into Bluesky and Mastodon (I fucking refuse to use Twitter), and I may try to spruce up my semi-active Tumblr.
