I'm saying this because I nabbed the last HG Zabanya at my hobby store and now I'm looking at it like. You know what. He was an alright dude. The fact that he got to have 2 Haros in AWoT was dope. We just live in a society π
lyle did leave an astronomically bad first impression on everybody and he should've maybe apologized to feldt at some point (and...he actually does in the s2 stageplay! which is very sweet and one of the many reasons i love the stageplays) but also, like, i fully get him. i get why he's like that. he's got a lot going on, and after a certain point sunrise seemingly had very little interest in actually writing any of it. my official position on the matter is that lyle dylandy is my brother who is kind of a dick sometimes and i love and respect him for that. deserved better. fun as hell to write. plus both his gundams kicked ass.
After finishing Wing, I was able to conclude that Lyle is kind of like Wufei in the sense that bits and pieces of characterization which could have made him a little more compelling wound up in the side material. Whoops. Initially he is a bit of a prick, but there's so much more to him than just being Neil 2 that it's like... bro if you give him a chance you will realize that he has his own set of interesting problems... I also think that they could've at least given him a different haircut but please...
I should build my Zabanya next.
