A final gunpla build to celebrate my time chosting.
I decided to try giving cohost a sendoff by attempting my first ever "real" paint job (i.e. not just small details/touch-ups with a marker). This is hand-painted acrylics, though the colors aren't an exact match because I didn't want to get mired in color mixing without any real experience so I eyeballed some swatches to try and get as close as I could (the colors are AK Interactive's Golden Yellow, Intense Pink, and Laser Magenta).
It turned out good, which is honestly more than I was hoping for. The coat is a little uneven and shows brushstrokes in places, but a matte topcoat helped to hide them a bit.
I don't know that I'll continue with painting future kits. My main joy with gunpla is the build process, and planning a paint job gets a little too far into the weeds for me, but I'm glad I tried.
And shout-out to @twoai, who had a similar idea and is in the process of making a Harobug.
