I feel like I kind of understand what you mean by cougar-sheltered dynamic, but I'm not sure I really understand it, so apologies in advance if any of these fall into it
about half of them are "younger extrovert x older introvert", and about half of them are "person with very little relationship experience x person with lots of (bad) relationship experience"

I don't have a good word for it, it's just a lot of yuri seems very like. There's a confident, older, sometimes pushy woman who kind of pressures a younger, more naive, sheltered girl into something sexual and I don't always like that! I like it quite a bit more when it's two people on more even footing, or at least when the confident one isn't so ... uh. dubious. with consent.
I'm also older, so... I like to read about older people with more adult problems in general.
but like!! I get it! sometimes you really want a big tall lady to just sweep you off your feet! There's a lot of taboo kind of removed from your plate when you're the passive one! and I don't mind the panic and the doubt and the "oh shit oh fuck!" but I also really enjoy the kind of internal growth a character can have when they come back and go "uh... so... actually..." and admit they want it. And I also really enjoy when the confident one is sweet enough to backpedal a bit and give their partner a bit more of an emotional runway, y'know? A little encouragement and pushing someone out of their comfort zone can be sweet but too much too soon can feel toxic and selfish.
I just like it when folks are in love and treat each other well and with respect, even if it takes them a while and some rocky starts to figure out how to actually get there. People are ugly and flawed but it's always a good story to see some flawed people just trying their best and get there in the end.
... anyway, I'll look into these!!
