is there any interesting or new insights in this? honestly probably not, but it'd probably come as news to all of my C-focused coworkers who are allergic to Python.

and I'm not saying one or the other is "better", "objectively", it's just that using Python for serious engineering work over the last 5 years has helped illustrate some of my specific pain points with C - and of course the opposite is also true, C teaches me about the pain points of python.

And then there's stuff BOTH languages do poorly, and that's a whole different rant.
