I'm into the part of Stardom now where all the rookies (except for Rian) have now debuted, and none of the Marigold people have left yet, which means Yuzuki is currently on every show.

And like, I'm skipping a lot of the Marigold people's matches unless there's something that specifically interests me, since I know now that narratively, they're just going to get their sendoff stories and then be gone, nothing else they do is going to go anywhere. Mostly I'm skipping Giulia, bc I've never seen somebody go from interesting to maximum phoning it in so dramatically before.

Anyway, one of my least favourite things in wrestling is when a wrestler is presented to us as something, ie. extremely good at wrestling, when they are clearly actually not if you look with your eyes. I had this problem with Giulia a lot, because Rossy seems intent on booking her as this unstoppable force and she's total shit at that role. But right now my poster child for this phenomenon is Yuzuki.

I can't - STAND - her. Ohhhhh my god. I don't hate a rookie push. Utami showed up and was pushed to the moon and I loved it, bc she was really good and they told really compelling stories about her. But, dude, Yuzuki fucking SUCKS. She's flashy, but she is NOT good. She looks awkward in every single one of her matches. Her execution is all over the place. She never quite knows where to be or what to do next. Everybody's carrying her as hard as they possibly can, definitely unrelated to the possibility that at this point she was already committed to Marigold and Rossy was maybe trying to get her some momentum, certainly no way this thing that shows up in every single match she has is something people are being actively told to do. And despite that carrying she still looks ROUGH, it's like early days Amasaki all over again. And if she was just a rookie who was still figuring out I can tolerate that - it's when you show me that and then try to tell me she's amazing, she's the next Mayu, maybe she could even step to current Mayu, have everybody else selling their asses off for her so she can be a prodigy who's already almost beating her senpai. Nope, fuck this, I'm capable of making up my own mind about a wrestler and I can tell she's not. I seriously can't STAND her.

I'm not fond, at this point, of really anything Marigold, I don't like what I've seen from the company and my interest has only waned. But it's shit like this that really dried that interest up. I hate it so much here and it's in one match per show, I don't need an entire company being run like this.
