So, instead of miseryposting, this one's current fixation has been the new Ultimate fight, and it's finally gotten to see phase 5 (of six) for the first time, and it happened twice tonight.
There's a double tankbuster immediately after that, followed by a raidwide that does 130k raw damage, and our caster health pools capping out at 68k makes that a real funny number to survive.
Kerachole (10% DR) + Passage of Arms (15% DR) + Addle (10% reduced magic damage done) + Feint (5% reduced magic damage done) + Reprisal (10% reduced damage done) + Zoe (+50% output to next heal) Shields, and it still comes down to "hope the +/- 5% variance doesn't roll too badly on both your non-crit shield value, and the damage you take because it still might kill you".
"Well why don't you have Heart of Light and Holos and Temperance?" Because those are on cooldown from the previous intense set of mechanics, given that this far in we're almost at ten minutes, and uh, we'll be needing them for the NEXT time this butthead hits us with the same ridewide for round 2... and then 3...
