Here's the most pertinent thing: Redbubble, a marketplace I use and recommend to students because its investment surface is minimal, has announced that they're now doing a tiering list. If you're in the bottom tier, you're going to be charged a fee out of your earnings.

There is no way to actually affect your tier position. You cannot make it change, it has to be in response to data.

I have been posting on redbubble monthly for at least five years now, and regularly sell a modest amount of stuff, getting twenty to thirty dollars a month, something that I refer to as 'pizza money.' This long-term engagement and production is not enough to elevate me out of standard.

What this means for me is this change has flat out resulted in less money for me, every month, period.

Sucks.

EDIT: Just to be clear, this isn't important. This is a belt that I can wear being tightened a little more. There are other people worse off and often this pizza money goes to someone else. I'm not seriously hurting. It just feels bad.

EDIT EDIT: I think the reason it feels bad is because once again I am finding some way to evaluate myself, some measure or yardstick for whether or not I am doing anything good or worthwhile or likable or enjoyable and being reminded not really.

EDIT EDIT EDIT:* At my current rate of earning, my monthly expected incoming from this just dropped from about 30 bucks to about 15. Phew.
