For the A's to get tax funding to build a new stadium included an expected attendance of around 28,000 of 30,000 seats. The A's average attendance is 8,500. Even their "reverse boycott" only drew 27,000. They really think they're gonna attract a percentage of capacity similar to the Atlanta team-I-shall-not-name, who is a World Series contender and has some of the best young talent in the game. They expect to draw a higher percentage capacity than the Chicago Cubs, the LA Dodgers, or the New York Damned Yankees.

the backlash on reddit and elsewhere has been real strong, nobody in vegas seems to actually want the team to move there but i'm sure enough money has changed hands to ensure it
The A's organization is chipping in like 750 million which probably swayed the decision
yeah nobody wants any public funding for this piece of shit at all. nobody actually wants the a's (and mostly their dogshit owner) to move
I can understand wanting to get out of the Oakland Coliseum because Jesus Christ what a Hellhole, but I cannot imagine things are going to go as smoothly as they claim.
