Those marks on beastfolk faces aren't some kind of innate skin pattern. They're tattoos. I don't think this ever came up in Lunar 1 or 2.

hey i want you to know - i'd never heard of this series until i randomly stumbled across this post on my timeline, and i decided to give Lunar Silver Star Story a try because of it, and oh no, im in love?? this game rules?? i was enjoying myself a normal amount but then the boat scene happened and now im DEEPLY INVESTED.
