I currently have a horizontal TV stand/media console to house my game consoles, AV receiver, and PVM. However, since my TV is wall-mounted elsewhere, I don’t like how to games up a lot of floor space unnecessarily. So I’m looking into a a more vertical solution that would still look good in a living room, and ideally which does not have a totally open backside like Kallax cubby cubes so I can do cable management and maybe hide/mount my power strip on the backside. Maybe something with round cable hole cutouts in the back?
I don’t know if I necessarily want a full server-style rackmount since I have many game consoles that can’t be easily rack mounted without wasting a bunch of space. Plus, they tend to look pretty awful in a living room setting. But the cable management capabilities of a rack are pretty compelling.
I don’t necessarily need something deep enough to house my PVM, but I would like it to be able to house my desktop computer at least.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
