hey im sorry this took ages to reply to, it backed up my whole queue because it just made me want to re-listen thru the xenoblade 1 & 2 OSTs & i took notes while doing so lmao

anyway here's some tracks

Xenoblade 1

  • Gaur Plain [ACE+] (a classic)
  • Unfinished Business [Yoko Shimomura] (it goes so much, especially in the remaster)
  • You Will Know Our Names [ACE+] (like, obviously)
  • Valak Mountain [ACE+] (such a gorgeous waltz, perfect for the emotion of the moment & snowy environment)
  • Engage the Enemy [ACE+] (i like how the guitar melody during the breakdown is literally just bloodlines from castlevania rondo of blood)
  • Zanza the Divine [Manami Kiyota] (what a banger final boss track)
  • Beyond the Sky [Yasunori Mitsuda / Sarah Alainn] (i am such a sucker for mitsuda's vocal themes & this is no exception)

Xenoblade 2

  • Elysium, in the Blue Sky [Yasunori Mitsuda] (man..... mitsuda huh. guy can write a fuckin theme)
  • The Ancient Vessel [Manami Kiyota] (i remember hearing this for the first time when playing and was like okay yeah, this is so [history of vgm] to me, i love dungeon themes with a mournful melody & a beat)
  • Torigoth [ACE+] (such a good town theme, ACE really channeling classic mitsuda vibes here)
  • Monster Surprised You [Kenji Hiramatsu] (i mostly just really love the title. monster surprised you!! it's a great battle tune though.)
  • Fonsa Myma (Night) [Kenji Hiramatsu] (i am such a sucker for pretty uses of mellotron sounds)
  • Mor Ardain - Roaming the Wastes [Kenji Hiramatsu] (i could groove to this track literally all day)
  • Our Eternal Land & We Are The Chosen Ones [Yasunori Mitsuda] (mitsuda could write choral music for years and i'd listen to it every time.... so beautiful)
  • Ever Come To An End & Shadow of the Lowlands [Yasunori Mitsuda] (once again)
  • Cliffs of Morytha [Kenji Hiramatsu] (loooove the synths in this track so much)
  • Yggdrasil [Yasunori Mitsuda] (it's really not fair any time mitsuda gets to write a sick dungeon theme)

my xenoblade 3 OST disc set ships out in a few weeks, so i might end up updating this with my faves from that soundtrack as well once i have proper track names & credits ^^
