As someone who has lots of experience working in a large organization, "for mouse reasons" really feels fundamentally like the kind of thing you see all the time at work except more sensible, really.
the thing is that the mice clearly do have reasons. they're very purposeful. it's just not reasons that can be explained to a primate.

I like how you can observe a mouse, think "how can you possibly bend comfortably like that, you have no neck, you are an egg with feet" but then if you look at a mouse skeleton, they somehow have even less neck than that
...huh. I looked up "mouse skeleton" and wow that's tremendously more leg than I thought they had. where the heck are their elbows and knees even
