1. All Citizens of the US and its territories now have the right to challenge the president
2. the challenge consists of a series of trials, first to 3 victories wins
3. the President and the challenger both submit challenges of their choice
4. the challenges are chosen at random, alternating between the two competitors pool of potential challenges, starting with the challenger's choices
5. the challenges will be judged by 7 judges, 3 chosen by the president, 3 by the challenger, and 1 non-us citizen tourist chosen at random
6. the supreme court is abolished and put down
7. the president may not resign
8. there are no more term limits
9. if the president is found to be intentionally losing a challenge they are executed publicly
10. if a challenger loses their challenge they may re-challenge after 6 months (training arc)
11. if the president dies of old age or is impeached, a tournament arc happens
12. challenges that shortcut the system such as a duel to the death are not allowed
13. all challenges take place before the Lincoln memorial
    UPDATE, ADDITIONAL RULES:
14. citizens of countries with US military bases in them may issue a challenge once a year
15. members of congress must participate in any tournaments
16. if a tournament competitor dies during a tournament of natural causes or is revealed to have been dead the whole time the victory goes to their opponent

this would get us closer to a democratic republic than the shit we currently have.
