@Hexagon

remember when you just had to not tell your true name to someone skilled in magic or enter any deals with the fae or demons and stuff?

now you got all these magic numbers that if you tell ANYONE they can really fuck your shit! and true names don't mean jack most people on here display them proudly. i literally can't hex bless any of you i gotta have the three little numbers on the back first!

also i agree MSN nudges were a cool feature. and to bring them back i need your help! all you have to do is DM me your full name and SSN and make sure it is all 9 digits. You can also mail me a piece of your hair (that trick still works).

an android's true name could be a serial number, but if that's a birth name it is not very likely. legal names also tend to not be true names so it'd be more like, the password you use for your bank account. my true name, for example, is a concept that must be understood before it can be written or spoken as my name. knowing how to spell it is not enough. could also work like how they do in earthsea. idk. whatever you want it to be, but something important to your nature. there's a lot of cool writing prompts here tho... i want to explore this idea much more, a financial or legally binding number/name having a magically binding property as well.
