cohost should have a server load indicator in a corner of the site like an fps counter for a game
it's actually just a little avatar pic of eggbug showing eggbug's current emotional state, like an old RPG or dating sim or visual novel or something. As the server gets more and more overloaded poor eggbug gets more bandaged up and sad looking. please be kind to him.
as an aside I think there is some actual userscript potential here based entirely on page load time
