thinking about a world where sony continued to invest in and iterate upon the xmb concept similar to how windows has kept the start bar, instead of just throwing it out at some point so that they can poorly re-invent the wheel every time there's a need for new system software. some shmo exec really went "but but we can't serve content or ads on xmb!" starting with the ps4 and that was that.
