that's fair I guess, although I thought it looked pretty good (for a while anyway)
sometimes it looked fine, but i (personally) consider the physical aspect to be one of the most important elements of tokusatsu. i want to see people on location, i want to see real explosions, i want suits and props that clearly get beat up over time, et cetera
I can't argue with that. I suppose if I'm more honest with myself, the the look of King-Ohger got wearying on the eyes after a while. They tried to amp up the fantastic, myth-making aspects of storytelling to make up for it, though, and I'm kind of a sucker for that stuff.
