My favorite flavor of player misunderstanding is when something gets written as a metaphor, or a simile, or using a less-than-common word, or in a culturally-bound way, and players misread it entirely as being a Lore Fact. Like you talk about a character wearing a 'peacoat' and two days later someone is on the discord asking why that guy's coat was made of peas and how it connects to the mysterious figure known as the Pealord from season six.
