hi cohost! this is a page for a project i'm working on called 'internet record shop'
essentially, i was tired of the way a lot of 'promotional youtube channels' operate - often requiring artists to pay to even get their music considered, and then often not actually leading to increased plays/follows/etc for the artist outside of the channel.
so i decided to make my own channel, and run it differently. i'm not going to paywall submissions at all, and i'm planning on pointing listeners to artists' own pages as much as possible. i want to actually have a positive impact on the artists featured, especially those i think are underrated and deserve more appreciation. we're focusing on digital fusion/vgm/vgm-adjacent music for the time being, as that's what i'm most familiar with, but may expand into other genres in future!
our first mix is called 'meadows', and features @adibabidan, @paperaviator, @joeyfunwithmusic and several more talented musicians! it's releasing sometime in the next few weeks ✨ you can find our channel here, but it's empty at the moment
