Oh, you are in for a treat! The first one is a good mix of tokusatsu and horror. It doesn’t feel much like the anime, though, because it came before it. Zeiram 2 was made after the anime, though, so you get Iria in her red poncho. If you like tokusatsu, they’re a good time.
I’m starting to. I wasn’t really interested until I watched Hazel’s video about super low budget, shot-on-video tokusatsu shows and I’ve been slowly getting into them from there.
I think you’ll like the Zeiram movies then. They had more of a budget than those robot girl toku movies, but it’s still a hero and villain shooting sparks at each other in an abandoned warehouse. But even better because of how cool Iria and Zeiram look.
