Yeah so it turns out if brushing your teeth causes:
- bleeding gums
- sore gums/tongue/lips
- you can never get rid of that scuzzy coating on your tongue
- your mouth gets really gunky and unpleasant tasting fast
You might be mildly allergic to fluoride and switching to a toothpaste without fluoride makes all that go away and brushing your teeth feels pleasant and your mouth feels clean.
this post brought to you by using hydroxyapatite toothpastes instead for a couple years (first apagard, then boka bc it's easier to get since it's not imported) and then my new dentist wanted me to try a prescription toothpaste and all the old tooth brushing problems came back and my mouth feels disgusting and also it feels just like if I eat raw banana which is an allergy problem...
Many things suddenly clicked this morning.
