because i discovered that my receiver doesn't include one, and my turntable has a completely passive signal path.
does anyone have recommendations on what to look for and what to potentially avoid? i'd like to keep things around $100-150ish tops, diminishing returns is probably gonna hit hard by that point anyway.
i looked at an article or two, but honestly would rather listen to someone i know isn't profiting off my decision.
