me and my BF's apartment building caught fire on tuesday night. we managed to get out and the flames didn't reach our unit, but everything we own now has some degree of smoke damage and we've had to toss and replace a distressing amount of stuff already, including nearly all of our food. the management company is insisting that our building is inhabitable—considering the awful air quality, plastic smell, soot, increasing water damage, mouse infestation, and people breaking into compromised units, we disagree! and we're gonna be moving out as soon as possible.
what i'm getting to is: if anybody has a few bucks they'd be kind enough to toss our way at https://ko-fi.com/exxtracrunch to help cover food, clothes, and moving costs, we would really appreciate it. no worries at all if you can't, we've already gotten some assistance, but anything helps.
we found a (potential) new place and are waiting to hear back on the application! moving costs are still going to be a lot, as well as other unrelated costs from the fire and poorly timed annual medical bills, so if you feel like throwing us a couple of bucks i'd appreciate it a lot.
