oh yea i wanna talk about gemfrost and her story and associated characters a little . you're getting ponies now
so. i decided to keep the evil aunt thing but her name is no longer 'spider' her name is 'widow weaver' & her cutiemark is a black widow . she works with spiders and especially with their silk ^_^ . she makes herself Seem real nice because. she's raised gemfrost since they were a foal, because their mom has just. Never been in the picture. Gemfrost doesn't seem to mind this tho. her old iteration did because i had mommy issues without realising yet Whatever. Anyways. Because gemfrost never knew her mom she doesn't gaf.
anyways! widow weaver makes herself seem like this well meaning pony but actually she wants to take all magic in equestria for herself . And gemfrost is liek innately deeply magical despite being a pegasus and widow weaver is waiting for her to fully realise their power so she can steal it from thhemmm. Oh right Gemfrost is a she/they now btw.
gemfrost used to be really sad but now they're just autistic . she looks kinda mean or distant but she's literally just standing there. she likes rocks, man. and weather. like that's it. luckilyyy someone actually picks up on this! a mare named vanity polish ^_^ . she's a unicorn that everyone thinks is, well. Vain. because she has a mirror as her cutie mark and her name is literally Vanity? but her actual talent is mirror making. And gemfrost gets this!!! They get each other. also i think vanity is a different flavour of autistic. she's better at masking it and liek gets social cues but doesn't understand why they're cues ykyk. anyways. the two of them understand each other and it starts them off on a comfortable friendship. vanity is gemfrost's. First ever friend. Gemfrost is Vanity's first real friend. and they compliment each other nicely!!! vanity is awkward and stumbles through her words but is very well meaning and sweet, gemfrost has no concept of awkwardness and just says things if they need to be said. They're very blunt and don't exactly get the point in softening that. so. if vanity needs to communicate something but can't, gemfrost does it! if gemfrost is struggling with expressing emotionally, vanity helps! they balance each other.
Uhmmm. And then gemfrost is like Ohhhh. I think I like mares. Okay. and theyjust straight up don't hide that they'refully in love with vanityyy FUCK. VANITY IS SO CONFUSED LIKE WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE INLOVE WITH ME!!!!!!!!!! .............................................Can I fallinlove with you t

yeha . so. vanity also has some pretty strong magic, which makes more sense, because she's a unicorn. and widow weaver is like Awee. You made a mistake bringing her to me, Frostie! and saps vanity of like. all of her magic. eventually. and vanity vanishes before gemfrost's eyes. and the grief ruins her. they go so ballistic with rage and grief and misery that they fucking MANIFEST a horn. (because the og gemfrost was an alicorn) . And blast the shit out of widow weaver. and she gets fucked up in this battle too. but widow weaver is left worse off so she's the one to flee. gemfrost gathers the last sign of vanity (neckbow) and stumbles off towards. Anyone. Lands themself in canterlot. And then passes out. And then the horn disappears.
she ends up working with celestia but celestia is like It's okay, Gemfrost. Vanity is with you always. and gemfrost gets so fucking mad about this they re-manifest thhe horn and celestia is like Woah. Hold on. That is exactly what I mean. A part of her is literally with you. Because you were connected as she essentially died.
basically gemfrost is literally only trying to stop widow weaver because she killed their best friend girlfriend thing they don't gaf about all the magic in equestria or whatever . she's hoping that killing her aunt will get vanity back, somehow. Smiles sadly
