the awesome thing about making pokemon ocs is that i get a new appreciation for so many pokemon bc i try to push to branch out every time
ok so she's a seamstress . her clips are supposed to resemble altaria/swablu wings instead of the angel wings btw. anyways
she's a gym leader And a seamstress! i don't know for certain if this region will have specific types or if the teams will be made up of the career specific pokemon but i do have a flying team for her gym challenge :3 but she has specific pkmn helping in the shop itself .
SHOP POKEMON:
Mareep - she has a couple mareep so that she's never short on wool! one mareep is not there for wool collection, tho; she's just there as a shop mascot and little helper :3
Joltik - since mareep is an electric type, i imagine its wool is full of static . soooo you bring out little joltik to eat up the static electricity to ensure the fabric doesn't stick to itself or shock the seamstress herself
Leavanny - leavanny is kinda what started this whole thing tbh . since leavanny cuts leaves and fashions them into swaddles to care for the young of its kind, i thought it'd be cute to bring a leavanny into the shop!
Scyther - here for a very similar reason to leavanny, scyther is specifically here to help shear mareep! ..he was kindaaa clumsy at first but leavanny trained him well! the mascot mareep has a tiny nick in her ear because she was the first one scyther ever sheared (..part of why she doesn't provide wool anymore.. she gets startled by the process) but the two of them are good buddies despite this . also scyther was my mom's idea
Chimecho - shops typically have a bell by the door ykyk? chimecho chimes to alert the owner to a new customer ^_^
Cinccino - garments and fabric need to be clean, yknow! which is where cinccino comes in :3
Delibird - there are 2 different delibirds! one is a shop assistant, much like mareep, bringing the seamstress pincushions and bolts of fabric and all that! the other is. fittingly. a delivery delibird! it delivers clothes and bolts of fabric to customers that can't get to the shop quickly ~
Tarountula - it is a ball of yarn. idk what you want from me.
Comfey, Sinistea, & Polteageist - specifically there to create a calming vibe in the store, plus there's a little self serve tea station for waiting to be helped or waiting for your product if you're needed for measurements or input and whatnot.
I'm realising now a bug type leader makes way more sense. butthis does tragically mean i can't put the delibird or altaria on her team... ok well i'm gonna share the og flying team and then an alt bug team
Bombirdier (because it kinda looks like a little shopkeep w a little apron..)
Butterfree (...it's just cute idk)
Delibird (specifically the shop assistant one!)
Altaria (her ace! swablu was her first ever pokemon)
Oricorio (because it changes clothes based on the nectar :3)
And then her team gains Scyther on rematch~
bug team... thiswould probably place her earlier game
Joltik (cld evolve into galvantula on rematch?)
Tarountula (cld evolve into spidops on rematch? Altho both of these could just like. get swapped out for their stronger pokemon bc i don't think she'd be very happy to lose her joltik or tarountula)

..honestly since she's a gym leader and her bug team would prob be earlier i don't Need to add anything else but iwant to. they will be rematch exclusive

i think she'll have altaria no matter what... just as another shop mascot/assistant like the one mareep if it's not on her gym team
