Throughout high school I made a very small handful of very small very shitty games in RPG Maker and Clickteam Fusion. When I started more "serious" development and learning how to code and how to use Unity, I just dove right into Frogsong, despite the common advice of starting small. I just googled tutorials for every single aspect for that particular game until I got the hang of things. "top down 2d movement unity tutorial." "top down 2d attacking unity." "player health display unity." Eventually things started to come together.
