I just wanted to let everyone know I’m likely to spend the next month doing a few game jams, starting with a 3 hour jam then likely the GMTK jam, Tooling.gg Godot jam and beyond

I’m a programmer, 3D modeller and occasional pixel artist. Some of my work is under (#new-handle art) and (#project kroyo wars).

I've been preparing some new tiles for the 2.0 launch, including new urban terrain and lake tiles. Some of the old tiles have been re-textured too.

Hi! I'm putting out a call for player submitted characters

A bit of background: a commander is a character that provides some kind of global special ability to an army. In order to fill out the cast, I'm looking to involve your original character.

Please detail me your submission either in the form of a comment, an ask or private message.

Please do not feel concerned if you do not feel your character would fit the tone of the world - there may be a wide and colorful cast of characters, including humans, furries, robots, aliens, and what have you else. It's better to post than to not.

Additionally, you may make multiple submissions

A submission should include:

Mandatory:
-Name of character
-visual design
-pronouns (for the purposes of game dialogue)
-whether or not you are comfortable with the character featuring in a potential story (to clarify: wanting to be in the game but not the story is totally fine!)
-whether or not you’re okay with adaptions to rhe character design (will always consult first, usually a costume thing)

if you choose to have your character potentially feature in a potential story (notice all the potentials? this is a loosely defined project) you may be consulted further on personality and character traits, and should provide further character details

Optional:
The types of abilities you want the character to have (if unsure, that's okay! It can always come later. For inspiration, your character may be adept with a particular unit, tile, have specific bonuses or a unique special ability. It may be useful to use ADVANCE WARS or WARGROOVE abilities as inspiration)

Fair warnings:
A character submission does not neccesarily mean that that character will become playable. In fact, there's no guarentee that any of characters will be added, nor is there a guarentee that this game project will be finished. Kroyo Wars is not currently a commercial product, and I am not currently planning to make it so, however it may one day become one and as such I ask only for submissions which you are comfortable featuring in a commercial product.

You absolutely can barely see their asses ingame. Hence, if I find room in my heart to work on aesthetics some more I'll likely overhaul the game with a "battle cam". Stay tuned.
