These villages are fine. They survive and they’re content in their own lives. Their screen-paper is parchment and their dome is the trees’ canopy. Not so different.
The apple matz IS very good, though. I urge you to give it a try.

While you went north, I wander east. A local tinkerer of Joppa needs of copper stuff, and works on a device to talk through great distances (could be useful). Copper wire can be found aplenty in the wells past the swamp, and well I was going there anyway.
Next time we meet up, remind me to tell you of the Six Day Stilt. Good place to smoke if you’re willing to walk the salt for two weeks.
