99% of the time I'm asked if I've read watched or played something the answer's gonna be no, sorry 😔 so I'm missing the reference here.
Ah sorry lol, The Secret Garden is a book from 1911 and the titular secret garden is revealed by a girl to some other kid who moves into her family's property for some reason. Pretty sure she exactly goes "I know a place" (in the parlance of the 1910s anyways) and takes other kid to this secluded, hidden away section of the land that's almost mystical.
ahh okay that makes a lot of sense, isle of the dead is definitely mystical, I'd even say almost otherworldly vibes. cannot eloquently put into words what getting lost in that painting makes me feel.
My main association with this painting is the not-one-of-his-best-but-still-fun Roger Zelazny novel titled after it
it was apparently. I rememeber somebody else shared this post with a comment about signalis, though I've never played it.
