1.5oz gin, 0.75oz @slifter's homemade black pepper grapefruit syrup, 0.5oz lemon juice, 0.25oz Cointreau

Liz wanted a drink that showcased this syrup. This is based on a pretty standard 2:1:1 sour ratio, but the syrup is quite bitter so I replaced a bit of the lemon juice with Cointreau just to get it a little sweeter which I think worked out well. If I made it again I'd probably add a dash of pepper bitters just to emphasize that aspect a little more.
