This is without a doubt one of the funniest things I've ever seen. The sheer magnitude of shit-eating corporate insincerity. The insistence on preserving the racist tiki bullshit in the same image. The implication that they are also somehow non-binary between cats and bats. The wholehearted endorsement of "skinny punk" as the de rigueur non-binary aesthetic. The assumption that anyone anywhere has thought for even a moment about the interiority of characters from the Crash Bandicoot series. "Meet Catbat, The Crash Bandicoot Series' First Non-Binary Character" is cellar door to me.

Fwiw this character was supposedly non-binary by happenstance, the pitch was actually “David Bowie” lol and this is what came out.
Considering how David Bowie has been the defacto inspiration for so many androgynous characters that makes this more hilarious, I think?

as an Australian, Crash Bandicoot makes me overwhelmingly, unreasonably angry all the time so it's nice to see this is a franchise that can't get anything right
