I find it unnerving in the extreme to see Girl Genius acknowledging contemporary pop culture, particularly pop culture that didn't even exist when I started reading the webcomic. I think some part of my mind was convinced that the entire comic was written in 2006 and has just been doled out piecemeal since then.

i find it reassuring that things like girl genius and sluggy freelance are still going, but also have not changed their art style one bit
that said, i don't think i'll ever recover from reading foglio's erotica
