I post a lot of photos of Espresso Martinis because I just love the way the oils in a fresh shot of espresso create that beautiful foam on top. I made this one with a very dark roast and blackstrap rum, which gives it a lovely gingerbread character. I usually don't add sugar to these beyond what's in the espresso liqueur, but I put half a teaspoon in this one since the coffee was extra bitter.
