my biggest gripe about Civilization VI is that loyalty pressure should apply nearly as strongly across mid-sized bodies of water as it does for adjacent cities. look at the Mediterranean, or south-east Asia, or even the south pacific

my second biggest gripe is that you should be able to build a single-tile bridge as a district in any city, not just as a one-per-game wonder, just like you can with a canal. this would make traversal and planning so much more interesting

my third biggest gripe is that if your ally attacks a city-state you're suzerain of there is absolutely shit all you can do about it
