The Cowboy and the Frenchman Review

Delightful to see Lynch do a dedicated comedy. For a guy whose oeuvre is so focused on the outré and unsettling, it's charming that his sense of humor focuses so much on just slamming the most overt semiotics onto the screen over and over again. The banality of the stereotypes transcends itself and becomes unreal again, incomprehensible because it's composed solely of icons that clearly contain no interior meaning. This is what this guy considers "a joke", and he's right!
