so in ecology, there's a concern that it's pretty difficult to get people in general to care about endangered animals that aren't charismatic megafauna. is there a parallel concept for monsterfuckers? do the people who are dating dragons and werewolves get all the press while the kobold and mimic lovers languish in obscurity? are there internecine fights? is there discourse about whether it's okay to fuck an extradimensional being you can't even comprehend?

Are mimics endangered? I though they were an invasive creature that invaded all dungeons and not something in risk of extinction
