It's really good, even if I understood maybe 50% of the references at most. Not sure how easy it is to track down though

I just received my shiny new 4k criterion disc in the mail. Love this movie. Can't wait to see the new transfer.
Last week I learned that Amazon made a miniseries based on this, back in 2018 or so. I'm scared to watch as I expect it'll just disappoint.

Ah! Since you are also a friend of FromSoft, I'll share that in my headcanon this story is about "first contact," with the girls being transported by an unseen Amygdala, then later when the founding of The Healing Church.
It's silly, I know, but there's something about the costumes that immediately put me in a Bloodborne frame of mind when I first saw the film.
