i had a feeling something like this was coming but now that it's here, the goal of $1.8 million feels so paralyzingly large. i'm in a fairly good position financially but i cannot, on my own, make a dent in this organization's needs.
i hope they make it because i think that's all i can do.
if you're a local, please try and become a member at scarecrow video. even if you're not local! you can rent-by-mail! it's such an important institution, a place that holds up everything committed to video and says "you are important and worth saving and sharing."
scarecrow being around has helped us move away from using streaming services, and let us watch and enjoy things we wouldn't've gotten to otherwise.
I don't know what I'd do if Scarecrow closed its doors. It would be truly devastating. I'm gonna be pitching in substantially for this and if you've got the resources please help out as well.
