Wow, I didn't think anyone remembered that game! Thank you for appreciating what is arguably the first game I ever released. I'm glad what it was really about was easy to pick up on despite the heady metaphorical sci-fi world. People tend to either love it or hate it when I write like this so I've been trying to write in a more grounded, dialogue-driven, interpersonal mode with more explicit clarity about the world to give readers stronger grounding.
But secretly I really like spinning dreamy and surreal worlds a lot more, so whenever someone connects with that side of my writing I find it very affirming! It gives me the feeling that even my weaknesses as a writer can be my strengths. I've even been thinking of returning to a similar setting to Removed for a future project.
Because someone in the comments asked: here's a link to Removed, a short twine game and also a short essay about the gameboy SaGa games. I find my old writing pretty embarrassing but here it is anyway!
