what?
A digital rummage bin for all the story fragments that I jot down and then never do anything with. (You could call them microfictions if you're fancy, but the truth is that I just can't be damned to do anything with them.)
A lot of them are original, but a number are fannish - mostly FFXIV. As a heads-up, only the latest expac's spoilers will be kept behind a CW - that means only Endwalker spoilers will be hidden right now! I will be tagging with #ffxiv and the relevant expac name, for whenever Cohost implements tag filtering.
when?
Updates whenever I feel like it. That could mean five updates within the span of an hour and then absolute silence for the rest of the year. It just is That Way.
who?
Everything here is written by @bazelgeuse-apologist, brainweird adult, viera-shaped queer menace, and low-effort poster extraordinaire. [1]
how?
Please feel free to write your own stories using these as starters or prompts. These weren't written with the intent of being prompts, but I have no issue with people using them as such.
But please don't:
- Claim my writing as your own
- Repost my writing
- Use my writing to train AI. My full opinions on AI art/writing are complicated, but in this conversation can be condensed down to "I'm increasingly uncomfortable with the various ethical issues surrounding AI and personally do not want to contribute to something that could be used to displace people's livelihoods." [2]
- (This is all in regards to my writing - your own writing is yours to do whatever with.)
Also, this applies only to writing posted to this specific page - the stories posted to my main are more personal, and are thus not for use.
why?
Why not?
where?
[1] I do block people very freely on my main account, and since Cohost (currently) handles blocks on a per-page basis, it's possible that you might be blocked there but not here. If that's the case, know that most of my blocks are along the lines of "I feel like interacting extensively with this person would be stressful for both of us" rather than a moral judgement. You're still welcome to interact with stuff here, unless you don't want to, which is also fine.
[2] Rich coming from someone who works in tech, I know, but let me have my standards where I can still have them.
