@childrenOfchildren

hello! (priscilla here)

we (@austinmwave) and I (@ghoulnoise) have been quietly and slowly collabbing on some tunes for about a year now and we wanted to post SOMETHING to light a fire and motivate us to finish some songs we're excited about sharing someday.

about us:

we're both non-binary games composers who hail from similar backgrounds in being well, the children of children. children raised by very young parents with not a lot of money. we were raised on public radio and folk music and find ourselves, against all odds, making music for a living. we've been peers for years, but last year, when we realized just how much we have in common, it really just made sense to join forces and make some music outside of games.

about the music:

alt-folk seems to be about right to describe the things we're working on. a mix of acoustic instruments, played traditionally (or not). songs range from minimalist, naturalistic productions that sounds like two people sat in a room and hit record, to lush and electric tinged pieces that meander. big on vibes, big on mood. you can expect to hear guitar, banjo, vocals, accordion, synths, guest musicians, and more~

when can you expect to hear more:

good question! we are both (luckily!) very busy with games music but the fact that we've kept working and talking about this for a year feels like a very good sign for our longevity. we've both been making music for a long, long time, and i feel like most of the times i've talked about collabing or starting a band with someone, things went from a spark of excited energy to fizzling out in the span of a month. so, you may have to wait a while, but we'll also try to keep posting demos along the way to keep our own motivation up and also hopefully keep your interest.
