I haven't played D:OS2, but I believe it - the argument for having "Action, Bonus Action, Movement" is that it is easier to keep track at a table than some (larger) number of AP; once you're in a video game that argument isn't as strong!
You clearly have a deep love and understanding for D&D so I won't promise you'll like it more or anything, but I'm curious how you find DOS2 if you get to it! I also barely paid attention to the story because I was playing co-op, so it might not hold up there to direct comparison
Yeah, I'd probably agree with this.
Weirdly enough though what I've found most interesting about BG3 is the weird specific ways it changes the tabletop 5e rules to fit in a video game with varying results
