I sorta enjoy math but like, not enough to want to formally learn it or anything. I know enough math to do game dev and that's about it. I don't think I learned trig until like five years into making games, and only kinda sorta know how calculus works.
For The Banished Vault I spent a solid month reading and rereading how the basics of orbital mechanics works, only up until the point of being able to make decisions on what to abstract for the game. So I have a good understanding of like, the purposes of various equations or methods but I couldn't sit down and solve anything correctly, but that's good enough to get a game going!
