In Chico DX you can switch between three color modes at any time!
Fixed Palette: a set four-color palette Auto-Palette: a special 4-color palette designed for each different area Full-color: 🌈🌈🌈
It was fun and slightly challenging to retrofit full-color mode onto a palette-based 2-bit color game, and to allow live hot-swapping of those color modes, but I think it paid off
