hello (at) nickyflowers.com

i got bored of always working in ableton so i'm focusing more and more on LSDJ. loved chiptune for a long time, finally feel comfortable enough with trackers to actually start making some for real. i'm still struggling to compose in a tracker though, despite my comfort with the way it works now. it's a whole new ballgame.

any friends of eggbug out there who have tips/tricks for a chiptune rookie?

as a long time renoise user (the only music software ive actually paid for, lol) working out of the computer keyboard is almost mandatory to me. once you get in the groove and pick up the keys for navigation, copy-pastey and doing things like parameter sweeps it really starts to click

I've been doing some compositions with Adlib Tracker II lately, and I really recommend it for having a more versatile interface than LSDJ while still sharing enough similarities to make knowledge transferrable. You can download it for DosBox and it works really well w/ the OPL3 emulator in there :). http://www.adlibtracker.net/
